Week 24
What a fantastic week we had! The sun was shining many days - we explored God's creation and shared His love! It was a beautiful week!
Announcements & Reminders:
*Please remember to order lunch by 7am on Tuesday! Remember you must order in this time frame for the whole week. If you click on the three lines in the top left corner of the blog, there is a quick link to the lunch form.
*All snow gear is coming home to get washed and fully dried. Please be sure to send back all snow gear (along with extra sock and gloves/mittens) on Tuesday.
*Friday folders are coming home with lots of work pages - please be sure to look over this work with your child, maybe choose a piece or two that is "fridge worthy" and praise your child for his/her good effort!
*Homework bags are due on Tuesday!
*From the Office:
-Forest Family NIght Hike
Due to the icy conditions on the trail and the anticipated warming (icing) temperatures, our Night Hike is postponed. Please save the date for a new after-school, family event on April 23.
-Wacky Wednesdays
Wacky Wednesdays in the Forest! The class with the highest participation each week will earn a “prize party” provided by the FS Parent Board:
- February 18 - Hawaiian Day
- February 25 - Backwards Day
-Learning Opportunities for Parents and Educators
The ODC Network is launching a meaningful 4-part speaker series in 2026 featuring nationally-renowned experts who will explore how technology is reshaping our lives and offer practical ways to restore balance for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
Through the generosity of local donors, tickets for the talks in Holland are free (one per email address) and can be reserved HERE.

---------
Bible: We've been practicing for our upcoming Spring Program - we are so exicted to be able to share with you on March 12 (more details to come!).
ELA: We are working so hard on writing our non-fiction books about the animals we've researched!
Math: We're adding and subtracting double digit numbers and money!
Outdoor Learning: Our animal homes are working really well! We're finding lots of evidence that animals have been in our Animal Kingdom while we are not there. We're seeing animals on our trail cameras, finding food remnants, scat, and fur/hair/feathers.
Star Student: Nathan was our Star Student this week. We enjoyed looking at Nathan's poster and pictures! We learned that he is really good at sailing and wants to be a banana ball player when he grows up. Nathan, you are a special child of God and we are thankful you're a part of our classroom family!
