Week 30

What a week! Starting each day at PR, swimming lessons, snow and cold, then rain and warm! Spring is here! Please make sure your child has all rain gear at school. Some gear is coming home today to get cleaned and dried - it was muddy today! Please send it all back again on Monday.

I gave the kiddos a tarp and some bungee cords and let them do team work!  It was so fabulous to observe!

-------

We finished our second week of swimming lessons!  I am so proud of my sweet second graders!  They worked so hard in the pool over these past two weeks and grew so much!

On Wednesday we had water safety day at the pool and then enjoyed the splash zone!

Our last day!

-------

Bible:  We did Bible at Pine Ridge each morning. We've been reading through different parables and learned that Jesus told these stories to teach important lessons. We've looked deeply into the parables and have found some great lessons!

ELA:  On Monday we partner read with Mrs. Smith's class.

We had fun sharing our Favorite Candy opinion writings with partners!

We partner wrote a story - we took turns writing sentences to help our story grow!

Some calm reading time is good for our busy bodies!

Math:  Math IS hard! We are working on double digit subtraction with ungrouping and regrouping! We've learned a few different ways to solve these types of problems and are taking our time working through such tricky equations.

Outdoor Learning:  We finished up mapping our section of the stream.

Then we worked with the partners on each side of us and created a final draft of our stream section.  We will hang this up inside the house to see the full stream.
